For 0bscure reasons among others, I need to sketch the outlines of the Nice.
1) Zero-balancing of the remaining 15-20K (30, if you want to be student loan completionist; I don’t) of unsecured debt. Nice because it would free up about $350 a month in minimum payments for better things. Such as: a sanctuary-anywhere ‘car’ payment; thus:
2) Sanctuary anywhere I drive to. Why it would be nice should be self-evident–“should” apparently only in my own fever dreams, though. Costs about 25K.
3) Paying off the mortgage, nice because eventually it means more equity and in the meantime saves another $350 off the Monthly. It has a lower interest rate so that makes it a lower priority.
4) I’m putting the Basecamp Silver niceness back into the box marked Pipe Dreams, because there’s just no practical way forward with it now, because, as I understand it, it might get stolen. Even the pipe dream is looking more like a tiny home than a doublewide at this point. That’s okay. Maybe it’s even right.
Maybe, someday, the equity rolls and all problems are forever solved.
There’s smaller stuff too but there we’re talking four figures instead of five; details will emerge slowly: a fog light.
Hope it helps.
