Wednesday and Back

It’s not necessary to go out and buy a jeep to go where I want to go.

Just as it isn’t necessary to buy and put a house on the land to have the basecamp and life I want.

And the same is true about trailers too. It would be nice to have an ALiner, or a Scamp.

But there are simpler ways.

And, given that I have a massive thick canvas tarp, even simpler ways, for just a couple thousand.

Or, for no dollars and a fair amount of labor, I do actually have a trailer, too, that needs fixin’, just as with the shell.

And maybe then I’d be able to feed myself.

And afford five dollar gas, and multiple thousands for when a clutch goes out on the RME or an engine goes out on the pickup.

Humans were free before the word freedom became necessary.

Freedom begins between the ears.

And even:

There is a deep, abiding, unshakable satisfaction in a life of complete failure.

That’s enough.

I’m back on schedule, and, accidentally, I have already begun to talk about the 5Q mission of the Magda kind.

Tentatively.

Dumbly.

And I say to you: You can have Barcelona, darling, and even the cave art.

You can keep Big Bear.

You can even have the Willamette Valley and its lush vineyards, all to yourselves, and no vain stupid excuses about me be being burdened with the sad duty of cat care will be necessary.

(Late in life, that cat has now been to six states herself, by the way.)

You’re off the hook Again.

I’m making my own god damn cave art.

Have a ‘nice day’, in spite of the fact that it’s not a corporately sponsored taco holiday or some fool celebration thing of the kind.

Yesterday on the Rez I gave away the last of the two dollar bills. The lady said that she collects them, for her daughters.

There is no crabbed and contingent generosity in that family story, no conditional love.

What a relief.
