Regarding liquidating the lot(s) down there.
I think the money, and what’s left of my credit limits, and my equity, should go into building the cheapest and easiest possible tiny thing on one lot, and then probably the other too.
Not for the dream reasons of having a better place to go.
But to sell, thereby turning a liability into a profit.
A profit that might wipe out most of the debts and make the monthly income into Enough or close to Enough.
That might patch the roof or cover whatever the next clutch job turns out to be–it’s always something.
That might could cover an ALiner, besides, and thus kickstart a start-up called the Magdalenian.
Maybe that cauterizes the wound, and bootstraps into a different baseCamp somewhere less perfect someday.
The Driftless leaps to mind.
I hear they still got real cheap houses there, and family besides.
