The forecast was almost a total bust. Not only no snow, but really no sign of even any rain. However, I hypothesize that a low pressure front did move in, because I have no other explanation for sleeping twelve hours after a week or more of respectably rising at seven or eight or nine.
Instead I woke at two in the afternoon. Later tonight I’ll set a rare alarm for myself, because I’d rather sleep short than let my schedule roll out of control again as it did in the weeks around Halloween.
It’s very barely sprinkling outside now at last, and the clouds that are dropping the rain will keep it warm overnight–relatively. They say five or six hours of temperatures just below the freezing point, which is a good ten degrees above the norm.
I processed the entire carcass of the first post-Thanksgiving turkey, with only a handful of bones left over. The strays took apart the skin and scraps at the end. What remains:
-some nice white slices for sandwiching,
-a pound or two of chunks for the next impurist chile verde
-some leftover meat simmering in the soup of the last purist c.v.
I’ll be eating well as I wipe down the retrieved bookcases and reclaim the front room.
Also, it’s time for a new crockpot finally. The oldest one has some physical breakage (I’m using it tonight anyway), and the newer one seems to have given up electronically.

There’s a great deal of confusion out there right now about how the Stimulus will go, if it goes at all. Some people are saying that the reduced/extra unemployment is going away, which would be pretty hard on me here. What I’m getting, if I get, is up in the air, the range looking like 600-5400. The high number means fairly smooth sailing. The low one would require some very fast tap-dancing as the month ends, and some amount of assets being cashed in.
It’ll all work out. E-vent-ually.

And that is the only antidote to:
