Driving to the Bottom of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River

Apparently, if you leave the pavement at Peach Springs, grab a $15 permit ($20 more if you want to camp), and drive 22 miles down a dirt road, you hit the river and the Canyon at their western edge.

I feel like I should have known this a long time ago.

I know it now though, and I’m feeling quite motivated to make it happen someday.
