Junction d’Petticoat

I watched several episodes. Don’t judge me.

The values embodied in the show make it ancient in the Covid year of 2020. It’s a show about noble rural poverty that puts human lives and love over gold. Quaint …

It might well be a capitalist plot, a counter-revolutionary narrative designed by big media and advertising to keep people narcotized with television and an acceptance of their humble and impoverished fates.

Or not.

The reason I’m narcotizing myself thus is that I was every bit ready to pull the trigger on gambling away the pensionry and forcing myself to awaken.

Then I got another offer to consider.

A generous one that makes me less sure again.

Also, it’s time to buy another crockpot.

I need to come down from distraction again.
