Weathervane Cheeses

I found those words sitting alone on one of the many scraps of paper I dealt with today.

Someday I’d like to have a weathervane to watch.

I seem to remember myself saying that the important piles were squared away. Today was about the less important and even unimportant ones. A lot ending up in recycling and a lot ended up in shredding and a lot ended up filed. Just as last week was about updating the electronic files, this round was about the pulpy ones. In both cases there’s a lot left undone, but now the lesser portions are at least archivally sorted and boxed and out of the way, and the serious bits are front and center, small and manageable, spread out into productive workspaces. I feel virtuous and sober about it all–it’s needed doing ever since I moved in here.

I’m on top of the madness instead of drowning in it and now I itch to live more and more of my life focused on these few big projects of significant change in the run-up to summer.
