But &#8230; <\/p>\n<p>Exactly the sly and mean-spirited kind of cultural propaganda I have grown to hate that station for. <\/p>\n<p>My serious answer to the joke is this:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I get it. And maybe you&#8217;re right, Dr. PMC. <\/p>\n<p>But I got around this indoctrination another way.<\/p>\n<p>I decided that being a &#8216;musician&#8217; was more important than having a family. <\/p>\n<p>I made songs instead of making a bunch of mouths to feed, and I&#8217;m at peace with that choice even when I&#8217;m starving myself. <\/p>\n<p>So put that in your fat smug pipe and smoke it, bitch (insert twelve-string power chord here)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I.
