Four grand, 133K miles.<\/a><\/p>\n Adding the Box … <\/p>\n This Aerocell is the Cadillac of boxes<\/a>. I have no real idea what it would cost, but I’m guessing maybe 10 grand more installed (I know there are options, like how the back door opens and closes, and also whether there’s a side door too. Round numbers it’s 135 square feet of living space, or about 10% of what I’m used-to in a static house.<\/p>\n So where do you get them? <\/p>\n Here’s what I know<\/a>.<\/p>\n The link at the bottom goes to a map<\/a> that looks like this:<\/p>\n So driving to Texas? Seems weird, but okay. There are several alternatives. <\/p>\n One is just to buy a U-haul with a box already<\/a> on it, instead of a chassis. No doubt the cheapest, because the box also has 133K (or whatever) miles on it too. Inventory on 17-footers in decent mechanical shape is very low, and the asking price has spiked to about 10-11K<\/p>\n The second is to buy something similar, already put together (or assembled to order). For example, here are some from that nearest Unicell dealer<\/a> in Texas. That particular idea is probably too expensive, since they’re all new trucks, but there’s also sites like RV-Trader (and a million more) that have ones in all stages of newness\/oldness. <\/p>\n Three: A Ford Commercial Truck Center<\/a>, that is closer than Texas, but not an Official Unicell Dealer. Does it matter? I doubt it. There’s one in North Vegas<\/a> and one in Henderson<\/a>, and the disadvantage here is that they seem to have no actual trucks sitting ready for purchase, except pickups. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Four grand, 133K miles.
