Monday. I have been fighting, it seems like about ten days, to put myself back on a more normie schedule, without any real success. Last night I set alarms for 9:30 and 10 this morning, and made it up by 11, which counted as a very mild and slight success. (That’s how bad it’s been.)<\/p>\n
I’m really glad I wasn’t waking into the post-noon for this one though, because around the time I got up it was becoming overcast, and as I’ve done what I do, into the afternoon, it’s been very proto-monsoonal out there past the first door flung wide, and the screen door beyond. <\/p>\n
I stepped out into it even, once to go flip a breaker switch in the fusebox (which I guess is like calling a fridge an icebox), and once to trim back my beard, which I always do outside because little hairs in every corner of the bathroom are an unseemly way to live. <\/p>\n
For background noise I’ve had a big pile of neglected Luke, and I want to give one more example of the 90\/10 rule as it applies to him and me. <\/p>\n
In a random livestream somebody got him started on colleges. <\/p>\n
He wove on and on in a way that resonated deep. Colleges have become increasingly useless to making a truly better life, and at the same time have become exponentially more expensive. <\/p>\n

Lip service is still given to learning, and teaching, and improving techniques for the imparting of information, but everybody inside a department knows that this has become almost universally a dog and pony show with no real meaning<\/p>\n

A degree, much like a high school diploma, isn’t any proof of a person having become educated, or even knowledgeable about anything that matters. It’s simply a hall pass to part of the job market, that says you’re able to put up with any amount of ridiculous bullshit from on high, and have become adept at jumping through whatever insane hoops that your betters lay out for you without end until you die.<\/p>\n
Everyone within an average academic institution, except the younger students, is aware of all these things on some level …<\/p>\n
And according to the mailing lists, he’s still on (as an all-but-dissertation PhD at the U of A), are deathly afraid that the Corona-Chan will expose all of this corrupt rot to even the dullest eyes, and a college degree will cease to have value even in the hall pass sense as a result. <\/p>\n
At the tail end of this epic, knowing, and accurate rant, he runs right off the fucking rails and headlong into the ten percent side. <\/p>\n
The institution of college will fall apart eventually, he says. This will happen sooner if things continue on the way they are … <\/p>\n
But it might be delayed a while, if Biden gets into office …<\/p>\n
… pumps a million trillion dollars into the system …<\/p>\n
… and appoints a "tranny" as the president of every single one of them. <\/p>\n
I’m appalled enough to laugh. How can anyone see so clearly, be so bright, and still be so fucking redneck stupid?<\/p>\n
To throw a side light on this, elsewhere in the video he goes on at length about how he’ll get married someday, but says his standards in choosing a spouse will be very high, and will include :<\/p>\n
