I lovelovelove this conversation)<\/p>\n<p>Well &#8230; we know who we are and aren&#8217;t &#8230; right?<\/p>\n<p>Who are they, the evil ones?<\/p>\n<p>The shorthand within consciousness studies is: the Materialists.<\/p>\n<p>But this other Dr. Alex says: It&#8217;s not just materialism we&#8217;re fighting, but also:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transhumanism<\/li>\n<li>Capitalism (and Marxism, imho)<\/li>\n<li>Reductionism<\/li>\n<li>Mechanicsim<\/li>\n<li>Secularism [see also: Flying Spaghetti Monster<\/li>\n<li>Rationalism<\/li>\n<li>Literalism [see also &#8216;fact v. fiction&#8217;]<\/li>\n<li>Dualism [see also objectivity v. subjectivity], and &#8230;<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;The worst pseudo-science is this kind of dogmatic scientism.&#8221;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And I find that seriously fascinating. <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not just pocket-protector scientists that derail even thinking about anyone&#8217;s consciousness with goodwill. <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not just evil billionaires destroying wetlands and polar bears (or whole peoples) for profit. <\/p>\n<p>The potentially fatal flaw in the narrative of civilization is that it has <em>stacked these lenses of illusion<\/em>, one on top of the other, and piped the multilayered deception into us through the education system from the time we are baby birds, until we can&#8217;t see one glimmer of life or hope or god through the stack. <\/p>\n<p>Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s what I was trying to say. <\/p>\n<p>Listen.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m posting this early because I want it to linger at the top of this page for at least 24 hours. <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve only watched the first half of this interview, but I watched that first half twice. <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll get to the rest tomorrow, maybe that&#8217;s tomorrow&#8217;s post, we&#8217;ll see if it&#8217;s that interesting too.
